Postby Matthyahuw » March 7th, 2010, 3:01 pm

anyone have a recommendation on something for about $20?

Logitech wrap arounds have always been nice to me

These are affordable and have always been good to me.

I also had a pair of these that have some pretty good sound for the price

Edit: Oh I am currently using these and they are way comfortable

I had the ones you posted from amazon, my 1yr old just ate them for dinner. I did like them, but they did get uncomfortable after a while..

I wound up getting some inexpensive Plantronics that are working okay (for now at least).

I know these are out of your price range http://www.turtlebeach.com/products/efhpa2/home.aspx but they are some of the best money I have spent sound wise.

Well, did you need to have a microphone?

Koss makes the PortaPro. If that's too much, there's also the SportaPro. They have a smaller one, their CS80, as well.

I'd almost suggest a better mic, like the Iasus NT3, but that's a very pricey option. There's PC adapters available, and you can turn around and use it for airsoft and paintball. :D

But look at the spex for the headphone portion, and you'll see what I mean. The typical mass market produced headphones are 20-20K for a range. The headphone components for all of them are 15-25K in range, usually found in more expensive cans with fancy names.

My $.02

P.S. They also have accessoriesfor the volume control, 3-band EQ, and cases.

Its not usb either. It has the four plugs then uses usb to power the amp. I would rather use onboard sound then a usb headset.

This will probably cost you 25-40 bucks, but senheiser hd202's with a zalman clip on mic would be budget friendly winner.

I have been using Senheiser hd280 Pros with a zalman clip on mic for years. I haven't found an equal yet.

Just a thought, and a late one at that.
